General Intercessions
Keeping in mind that we are all God’s children, let us pray for the strength to help others understand what this means, by welcoming and supporting both those we already know, and new people we meet as we work and play in the coming week . . . (pause)
Lord, hear us,
All: Lord, hear our prayer
We pray that community leaders – including our political representatives at local, state and federal level, and those driving business interests – will act responsibly to protect habitat for native fauna in areas in the Blue Mountains and near Deniliquin, currently under scrutiny . . . (pause)

At the beginning of a week when we observe a World Day Against Child Labour, we pray for parents, child protection workers and others who will ensure all children are safe, and able to enjoy family life, being with friends, and an education which prepares them for secure employment as adults . . . (pause)
Lord, hear us,
All: Lord, hear our prayer
Let us pause and hold in prayer those we love . . . (pause)
and those who challenge us to re-think values we tend to take for granted . . . (pause)
